Technical description
  • Construction of a treatment-wing and conversions with function adjustment
  • New hospital building with accommodation facilities for about 200 beds, set in 6 different wards, one intensive and recovery area with six operating theatres and one maternity ward
  • Extension building with a helicopter pad on the third floor
  • Underpinning of the existing building with deep-anchored DSI-supports
  • Internal access via the central lift unit
  • The rectangular shaped building includes two roofless courtyards
  • Reinforced concrete flat slabs enable changing and flexible space usage with high installation density
  • High demands on flexibility of the ceiling in the treatment areas (such as CT-room, radiology, …)
  • High resistance to torsional stiffness for the entire building for derivation of seismic loads
  • Long span bridge to the helicopter pad
  • Development of existing buildings with underpinning and enforcement of the foundation while ongoing operation
  • Excavation support inclusive underpinning to neighboring properties
